Cypress, Texas

Walkways, Patios
& Drainage In
Cypress, TX.

Gravel and step stone walkways, paver patios, driveway extensions, French drains, and small retaining walls. Half of Cypress is a new build with a backyard that has nothing in it yet. The other half has trees old enough that the grass gave up years ago. We finish both.

What We Build

Five Things
We Do Well
In Cypress.

We build the parts of a yard that do not grow. Paths, patios, drainage, and edging. No lawn care, no lawn maintenance, no tree removal. In Cypress that last one comes up a lot and the answer is still no.
On a new build the first question is almost always the side yard. On an older lot it is whatever is happening under the trees.

Gravel & Step Stone Walkways In Cypress

Concrete step stones set level, with 3.5 inches of black star gravel packed between them. Pure gravel paths scatter within a year. Step stones in gravel stay where you put them.

Paver Patios & Patio Extensions

Interlocking pavers on a compacted base. They cost more than step stones in gravel. The reason people pay it is that a paver patio makes the back of the house look like it belongs to a more expensive one.

Driveway Extensions

Room for the third car or the trailer, down the side of the existing drive. We say upfront whether the build is rated to be driven on. Some are not, and you should know that before the deposit.

French Drains & Yard Drainage

Inlets, pipe, and a grade that actually runs toward the drain. Put a French drain in a yard that slopes the wrong way and all you have paid for is a trench.

Retaining Walls & Borders

Short walls, nothing that needs an engineer. Bender board, treated 2x4, and edging so the gravel stays out of whatever grass is left.
Cypress Yards

Two Kinds Of Yard,
One Set Of Problems.

Cypress runs from Fairfield and Coles Crossing, where the trees have had thirty years to fill in, out to Bridgeland and Marvida, where the sod went down last spring. The yards look nothing alike. People call us about the same four things.
01
Nothing Out There Yet

The Blank New Build

The builder left you a slab, a fence, and grass. Lots run tight, so the side yard is often six to ten feet wide and doing nothing at all. That strip is usually the cheapest square footage in the yard to fix and the first thing people want walkable.
02
Thirty Years Of Canopy

The Shade Problem

Under a mature oak the grass thins, then goes, then turns to mud every time it rains. Gravel and step stones do not need light. We are not taking the tree out and we would not suggest it.
03
Flat Is The Issue

The Low Corner

Northwest Harris County does not give you much fall to work with. Water finds the low corner and sits there. We look at the downspouts before we quote a regrade, because an extension and one inlet fixes more yards than people expect.

The Cheapest Bid

Pavers without proper base material heave inside two years. Gravel without edging walks itself into the lawn. Most low-priced hardscape is full-priced work done badly, and the saving disappears the first time something has to be redone.
What we cannot do is engineer a yard against a hundred-year storm. Cypress sits flat and six inches of rain in an afternoon is going to show up somewhere. We fix the water that is still standing the next day.

Where We Work
Around Cypress.

Most Cypress homeowners who call us saw the work in a video before they saw the website. That is a strange way to start a relationship and we kind of like it. Jobs are assigned by zone before the quote goes out, so whoever pulls up already had your yard on their board. Every crew on your property is in an Eden's Garden shirt.

No. Cypress is inside our regular service area and the site visit is free. Jobs are assigned by zone, so a Cypress project already has a Cypress-area crew on it before the quote goes out.

Usually, yes. Most of the Cypress master-planned communities run an architectural review for anything permanent going into the yard. We give you the scope, the materials, and the dimensions in writing so you have what the packet asks for. Filing it is yours to do, and we book the install around the approval rather than ahead of it.

Put in something that does not need light. Step stones, black star gravel, pavers, or a clean border will hold up in full shade where grass will not. We do not promise new sod will survive under a mature canopy, and we do not do tree removal. If the trees are the reason you called, we will tell you that on the first visit.

Pricing comes off the actual yard, so we measure rather than guess. Step stones in black star gravel run below pavers over the same footprint, and drainage adds to it wherever the grade has to change. The site visit is free and the number is in writing within 24 hours of it. No starting-at pricing and no verbal estimate that grows on the invoice.

A small gravel and step stone path is one day. A larger one runs 2 to 4 days. Paver walkways take 1 to 2 days and paver patios 1 to 3. The longer jobs are usually combined builds where drainage goes in with the hardscape. Most customers get installed within 1 to 4 weeks of approving the quote.

Under $5,000 it is 50% to schedule and 50% on completion after the final walkthrough. Over $5,000 it is 50% to schedule, 30% at the halfway mark, and 20% on completion. Same structure for every customer. The deposit reserves the crew, the date, and the materials.
