Walkways, Patios
& Drainage In
Magnolia, TX.

Gravel and step stone walkways, paver patios, driveway extensions, French drains, and small retaining walls. Magnolia is acreage country. Bigger lots, lighter rules, and a lot of properties on septic and well rather than city utilities. That changes where anyone can dig.

What We Build

Five Things
We Do Well In
Magnolia.

We build the parts of a yard that do not grow. Paths, patios, drainage, and edging. No lawn care, no lawn maintenance, no tree removal. If that is what you need, we will point you somewhere good.

Out here the first job is finding out what is already under the grass. On septic and well that matters more than the design does.

Gravel & Step Stone Walkways In Magnolia

Concrete step stones set level with 3.5 inches of black star gravel between them. On acreage it is also the build that can be lifted and reset if something underneath ever needs getting at.

Paver Patios & Patio Extensions

Interlocking pavers over compacted base. Worth knowing before you pick a spot: a patio is permanent cover, so it needs to sit clear of anything you might have to service later.

French Drains & Yard Drainage

Inlets, pipe, and a grade that runs toward an outlet. On a septic property the route matters as much as the fall, because there are places a trench simply cannot go.

Driveway Extensions

Turnarounds, extra parking, and the strip beside a long drive. Plenty of trucks and trailers out here, so we say in writing which builds are rated to be driven on.

Retaining Walls & Borders

Short walls, nothing that needs an engineer. Bender board and edging that gives a big open lot a defined line instead of grass fading into gravel.
Acreage Lots

Find Out What Is
Down There First.

Lake Windcrest, Mostyn Manor, High Meadow Ranch, Clear Creek Forest. Lots out here run from most of an acre to several, and a good number of them are on septic and well. That is a different set of questions before anybody starts digging.
01
The Big One

The Drain Field

If the property is on septic, the drain field or spray area is the one part of the yard you cannot trench through or cover over. We want to know where yours sits before we design anything, and it is worth digging out your permit paperwork ahead of the visit.
02
No City Utilities

Wells And Lines

Well head, supply line, propane run, and whatever the last owner buried and never mentioned. On a property with no municipal utility map, the walk matters. We mark what we can find and we would rather ask twice than cut something once.
03
Fewer Rules, More Rope

The Open Lot

Plenty of Magnolia properties carry light restrictions or none at all, which means you can build more or less what you want. It also means nobody is checking where your water ends up. On acreage that is a conversation with the neighbor rather than a committee.
04
Not Our Ditch

The Road Edge

Out here the roadside ditch and the culvert under your drive are usually where the water is meant to end up. We will grade a yard toward it. We do not rebuild culverts or dig out county ditch line, and if that is the actual problem we will say so.
To be plain about it, we are not septic contractors. We do not repair systems, relocate them, or sign off on them. What we do is find out where yours is before a shovel goes in, and build around it. If the honest answer is that your yard needs a septic company before it needs us, that is what you will hear.

Where We Work

Jobs are assigned by zone before the quote goes out, so the crew that pulls up already had your address on their board. Every crew on your property is in an Eden's Garden shirt.

Anywhere clear of the system. The drain field or spray area needs to stay uncovered and untrenched, so it sets the shape of what is possible before anything else does. Bring your septic permit or site plan to the visit if you have one, because it saves guessing. Where paperwork has gone missing, we work from what we can see on the ground and stay well clear.

We walk it with you first and mark what we can find. On a property with no municipal utility map, you often know more than any record does, so tell us about the propane run, the old line to the barn, and anything the last owner buried. If a trench has to cross something, we would rather redesign the route than take the chance.

Not the ditch itself. Roadside ditch line and the culvert under your drive generally sit with the county rather than with a landscape crew, and we are not going to start digging in a right of way. What we can do is grade your yard so it drains toward wherever the water is supposed to go. If the ditch is the real problem, a French drain in the yard will not save you and we will say so.

Often less than you would need closer in. Plenty of Magnolia properties carry light deed restrictions or none, though the platted subdivisions out here vary quite a bit. Check your own deed restrictions, and if there is an association, ask them. We put the scope and materials in the quote either way, so you have something to submit if it turns out you need to.

We measure rather than guess. Step stones in black star gravel price below pavers over the same footprint, and on acreage the length of the run is usually what moves the number most. The site visit is free, the quote is in writing within 24 hours of it, and there is no starting-at pricing.

No. The site visit is free and jobs are assigned by zone, so your project has a crew on it before the quote goes out. Magnolia sits toward the outer edge of where we work, so if you are further west than 1774 it is worth a quick call to confirm before we book the visit.

Under $5,000 it is 50% to schedule and 50% on completion after the final walkthrough. Over $5,000 it is 50% to schedule, 30% at the halfway mark, and 20% on completion. Same structure for every customer. The deposit reserves the crew, the date, and the materials.
