We build the parts of a yard that do not grow. Paths, patios, drainage, and edging. No lawn care, no lawn maintenance, no tree removal. On a treed Tomball lot that last one comes up on nearly every visit.
Out here the first question is usually how far the path has to run. That is the number that moves the price, not the complexity.

Gravel & Step Stone Walkways In Tomball

Concrete step stones set level with 3.5 inches of black star gravel between them. On a long run it costs less per foot than pavers and holds up better than loose gravel on its own.

Paver Patios & Patio Extensions

Interlocking pavers on a compacted base. They cost more than step stones in gravel. Worth it on the part of the yard you actually sit in rather than walk across.

Driveway Extensions

Room for the trailer, the boat, or the third truck. We tell you in writing which builds are rated to be driven on and which are not, before the deposit.

French Drains & Yard Drainage

A path in a Tomball yard is rarely the twelve foot run you get on a tight suburban lot. Between Willowcreek Ranch, Decker Prairie, and the wooded sections of Woodtrace, we are usually working across a lot more ground. Four things change when the lot gets bigger.

Distance Is The Cost

The Long Run

Driveway to front door. Back door to the shed. On an acre lot those runs get long, and length is what moves the number more than any fancy detail. Step stones in black star gravel are usually the build that makes the distance affordable.

Shade And Needles

Under The Pines

Pines drop needles, block light, and take the water first. Grass gives up and the path turns to mud. Gravel and step stones do not care about shade. We are not taking the pines out and we would not suggest it.

Ask Where It Goes

The Outlet

Out on the bigger lots there is often no storm inlet to tie into. The water goes to a roadside ditch, a swale, or across open ground. A drain has to end somewhere legal and lower than where it started, and we work that out on the visit rather than after.

Say It Upfront

Drivable Or Not

Out here people have trailers, boats, and something with a mower deck on it. A path built to walk on will not survive a truck. We put in writing which builds are rated to be driven on, because finding out afterward is an expensive way to learn it.
What we cannot do is engineer a yard against a hundred-year storm. Six inches of rain in an afternoon is going to stand somewhere, and on an acre it may stand in more than one place. We fix the water that is still there the next day.

No. Tomball is inside our regular service area and the site visit is free. Jobs are assigned by zone, so a Tomball project already has a crew on it before the quote goes out.

On a Tomball lot the length of the run matters more than anything else, so a path from the drive to the back door on an acre prices higher than the same build on a quarter acre. We measure it on the visit rather than quoting off a photo. The site visit is free, the number is in writing within 24 hours, and it does not move unless the scope does.

Sometimes. A driveway extension can be built to take a vehicle, and that is a different build from a walking path. What we will not do is let you assume a path is drivable when it is not. The quote says which it is, in writing, before you pay a deposit.

On a lot of Tomball properties it goes to a roadside ditch, a swale, or lower ground on the property itself. A drain has to end somewhere lower than it started and somewhere it is allowed to go. We work that out while we are standing in the yard, because it changes what the system costs and whether it is worth doing at all.

We fix it by putting in something that does not need light. Step stones, black star gravel, pavers, or a clean border will hold up under a pine canopy where grass will not. We do not promise new sod will survive there, and we do not do tree removal.

Under $5,000 it is 50% to schedule and 50% on completion after the final walkthrough. Over $5,000 it is 50% to schedule, 30% at the halfway mark, and 20% on completion. Same structure for every customer. The deposit reserves the crew, the date, and the materials.
