Do you work around a pool?
Around it, yes. Paths, patio areas, beds, edging, and drainage on the yard side are all work we do. The pool structure itself and anything attached to it, including the deck and coping, belongs to a pool contractor. We build right up to where their work starts and we will tell you clearly which side of that line your project sits on.
Is gravel a bad idea with young kids?
It depends where you put it. Black star gravel is a path material and it is fine to walk across. It is not a play surface, and we would not run it under a swing set or across the part of the yard where toddlers are barefoot most of the summer. In those areas wider step stones or pavers make more sense, and we will say that on the visit rather than sell you gravel everywhere.
Do I need to move the playset and the trampoline?
Sometimes, and we will tell you which items on the visit rather than on the morning we turn up. Smaller things we can shift as part of the work. Anchored playsets, sheds, and anything heavy are usually better handled by you or by whoever installed them, partly because putting them back is easier if they never came apart. Either way it is agreed before the deposit.
My yard holds water and it is completely flat. What can you do?
Work out where the water can actually go first. Pearland has very little natural fall, so a drain is only worth installing if there is somewhere lower to route it to. We look at the downspouts before anything else, because an extension and one inlet fixes a good number of these. If the honest answer is that a full system will not achieve much on your lot, you will hear that too.

We will tell you which days the yard is genuinely out of action, and if you have a date it needs to be usable by, say so before we schedule rather than after.
